Project: Storm Spear

Project: Storm Spear is the creation and evolution of the character Storm Spear, an OC (Original Character) for the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (that's right, there is a little Brony in me). Below are links to the first few parts of the project:
1. Storm Spear: It starts with Warhammer
2. Storm Spear and Corrupticus Designs
3. Corrupticus sculpt research
I have to admit that when I started he was called Stormspear as a single name, but given how names go in Equestria it would be Storm Spear. This just means I'll have to update things later.

There are three main characters created for this:

Storm Spear: The Main Character
The Evolution of Storm Spear's image. Both Basic and Hunter Outfit. Note the Scar on the left side of face. Is also attuned to the elemental force of lightning. His clothing is based on the classic Witch Hunter design.

Who is Storm Spear?
The Fiend had been taken by surprise, clearly this wasn't an ordinary traveler. Not only had he been capable of defending himself, but the Unicorn had the nerve to fight back. Roaring in rage, the Fiend ponced again and was shocked to find itself being flung back by a bolt of lightning. For the first time it was experiencing a new emotion as it desperately scrambled to get back up, the terrible taste of fear. It stared at the Unicorn, trying to find weakness but instead found only a look of confidence as their eyes met.
"So Mate, wanna another go?" Storm Spear said with a smile.

Night Hunter, Dark Wanderer, Storm Lord, just some of the names given to the one called Storm Spear. He hunts down evil, battles nightmarish horrors, but for Storm Spear this isn't a job, this is his life.

Storm Spear is an average size male Unicorn with a dark grey colour, aquamarine/blue eyes and dark turquoise/teal mane and tail. His cutie mark (he hates that name, though it's more to do with the fact he hates being called cute) is a lightning bolt with an arrow tip end with inner grey/light blue colour with outer turquoise colour. He bears a scar on the left side of his face, a reminder of a battle he had with a Terror Fiend (a Fiend is an equivalent to a Demon) and speaks with a mixed classic/modern Australian accent/language (meaning he needs to explain some of the words and phrases he uses). As a Unicorn Storm Spear can cast spells, but it's his non-magical powers that makes him unique (the power of the Fragment/Shadow is what infused him with it). He has the power to call upon lightning and although he can summon it from the sky, he prefers to channel it through his horn (thus the name 'Storm Spear'). Storm Spear loves a good storm as being struck by lightning has a euphoric/rejuvenating effect on him, though as with all things too much can be bad. Indeed, he has been known to sometimes go overboard with his lightning power, causing an effect that Sparky calls 'Overload', in which extreme exhaustion follows this overuse. Rarely can he achieve 'Overcharge' which makes him into a sort of living lightning (mane glows, lightning fast speed etc), but it's very short lived and is extremely dangerous to hold onto for too long. His lightning nature has earned him the title of 'living battery', it's power connected to his life source and much like a battery, should it run dangerously low so to does it put his life at risk. He has a short range teleportation in the form of a mist/storm cloud which is mostly used in more serious combat situations. Despite having these powers, he often forgets that he has them and thus, tends not to use them.

As a Unicorn, Storm Spear is a spell caster, but he was never taught the way most learn, instead he learned what he knows through traveling (taking a lesson here and there from other Unicorns), but also from the various other types of magic casters (traditions/spell types, e.g. Rune Magic). Due to a run in with a necromancer, he does have some necromantic knowledge, but Storm Spear ordered Sparky to lock it away (along with the memories of what he saw that day, which would send most who saw those things insane). His outfit is based on the iconic style of fantasy Witch Hunters, including his shirt/vest, a trench-coat and hat. Very fitting for someone who hunts the evil that lurks in the shadows and the terrors of the night. The coat itself has magic woven into it from magical pockets to a self cleaning spell (he is a Unicorn after all). Observers note that his Unicorn horn sometimes uses magic to help those around him while it appears Storm Spear seems oblivious to what's going on around him. It's not that he doesn't know what's going on, it's just that he's use to it.

Storm Spear memory is vague, but he remembers that he is the third child from a couple who lived on the Great Apple Isles (a fact he had no idea of until very recently), which is located way down south of the world. Storm Spears uniqueness came about at his birth when a mysterious energy fused with him (unbeknownst to anyone). This energy would be known as 'Fragment of Hope', a piece of essence from a mysterious being from another dimension that Storm Spear simply refers to as' The Benefactor'. Unfortunately, it was running from a creature called 'Shadow of Despair', which sadly caught up to it. At the age of a young colt, it attacked. As the cottage burned, he was tossed out the window into the snow in the hopes he could be saved. His family gone, the Shadow moved in to finish him, but then the light of the Fragment took over, the two entering in a verbal confrontation. Knowing it couldn't win, the Fragment used the same technique it used  to bind the darkness into him. No pony saw the event and everyone thought the tragic loss was an unfortunate accident. Thanks to political greed by a corrupt uncle, Storm Spear then found himself in a cruel orphanage where he was bullied everyday by the Pegasus there. One day when he was outside during a storm and feeling sad, he made a vow to fight for good, stating he would strike at the darkness like a spear of lightning (he thought using his name in this way would sound good) and was then struck by lightning on the tip of his Unicorn horn, knocking him out. This event did give him his cutie mark and unlocked his powers, but this only cause him more problems from the bullies. One day he felt a calling from the mountains. Sneaking off, he traveled until he found a crystal cave. There he met the Fragments owner, the Benefactor, in energy form. He learned his history and the future arrival of a dark power he was chosen to fight. To help him on his task, Sparky was created and with that, the two set off on their great adventure.

His tormented past means he is very insecure and has a great distrust of everyone, particularly Pegasus (as they bullied him when he was in the orphanage). He also suffers from Arachnophobia (fear of spiders) after a rather traumatic experience in a cave full of giant spiders. He has difficult in making friends due to the loss of those he did get close to (due to treachery of other individuals) and so doesn't make friends for fear of loosing them. He usually acts tough and independent in order to cover his insecurities, hiding his true self which is helpful and kind (and generally an all round great bloke). Because of the Shadow of Despair within him, he is prone to sudden bouts of serious depression too and tends to blame himself when things go wrong, most of are not his fault. Because of this he tends to be very hard on himself. He can be fun, adventurous and a little too excited and sometimes eccentric when he overcomes his distant act. Despite his lone wolf nature, he is good with foals, having helped saved many of various ages in the past. He was even trained to take care of some newborns by their ill mother at one point, though he doesn't tell anyone that in case it makes him more likable. He is not used to large groups and tends to not want to draw attention to himself, something that proves difficult as he has yet to learn that acting mysterious and shying away only draws more unwanted attention. His humor also seems a bit mixed, tending to appear to not take things seriously. He does take things very seriously and this is more of a coping mechanism then anything else (though he does appear to get confused/absent minded at times) and sometimes uses it on opponents making them think he's overconfident and underestimating them, using it as a means to trick his opponent into exposing weaknesses and making mistakes. He's not impervious though and does tend to get in over his head sometimes, which usually result in his friends intervening to save him. He's not perfect and he's honest enough to admit it.

He is however, a solo act. He has spent much time alone (he doesn't count Sparky due to their connection) and as such, see's himself as being an outcast. He doesn't fit in well with society in his opinion and certainly has no love for the upper class. Having spent much of his life fighting things from wolves to eldritch horrors, not being able to fight or loosing a fight (something that does happen well enough, just because he's skilled doesn't mean he can) is something he doesn't take too well. Having to rely on others is something he's not use too and when it happens it's a real blow to his pride. He's afraid to let any pony get close and is very protective of his past and his secrets. This ranges from the truth about the entities that exist within (they are real enough and are in a constant war within him), the event involving the Necromancer and even his love for a story series involving a young Colt who leaves his farm, goes on an adventure, battles evil, saves a kingdom and marries a princess (this one was a story he use to overhear during his time in the orphanage and something his younger self wanted to emulate when he went off on his quest. He doesn't want any pony to know he still reads those tales to this day).

Eventually, he fulfills his destiny in battling Corrupticus and his Dark Master. After this, Storm Spear tends to involve himself in outer Dimensional affairs, collecting Artifacts and long forgotten history and dealing with the occasional horror in the Abyss or one of Corrupticus' plans. He does play other roles, but tends to offer advice instead or direct confrontation (unless he want's to get involved, then all bets are off).

Beyond Equestria: The adventures of Storm Spear and Sparky are not limited to Equestria. Indeed, they have traveled between realms and even beyond their own dimension. The unique secret about Storm Spear meant that it was going to happen at some point and so the two tend to end up in situations they would never have encountered on their home world. (Beyond Equestria is essentially meant to allow these characters to interact with other characters of my own creation. It also identifies who Lord Corrupticus' Dark Master truly is). Here the secret behind the Fragment of Hope is plainly seen as a piece of the Guardian, which was a sort of last resort for his spirit during a dark time. The Shadow of Despair was sent by their enemies, the Ancient Dark Ones in their attempt to destroy it. As such, this plays a pivotal point in the war, with Storm Spear being the means to bring hope to it. The brings the whole 'Fragment of Hope' full circle with the interactions between the Unicorn and various key characters which restore hope that the war against this eldritch evil can be won.

Designer Notes: Storm Spear is designed to be his own story, but fits well in the story of other characters, his story line being interactive with the main stories of Equestria. I've always said my characters are created with a part of me in them, but Storm Spear is slightly different in that he literally has a part of me in him. The Fragment of Hope is that part. He is a character that's a reflection of the ups and downs of depression. This is both represented in his personality and the battle between the Fragment of Hope and the Shadow of Despair. To make them seem like there are a part of him, Despair looks like a black shadow version of him with evil red eyes and the scar, while Hope is merely a shining golden version of himself minus the scar. Like many of my main characters, tragic pasts are a good driving point for his lonely path, but given the show is about friendship, this is a key point with making friends and their helping him control this dark aspect of himself (a.k.a - the depression). When he's in a positive frame, he gets a little over the top eccentric, which is when he's at his best (if a little silly).

His past may need to be reworked so the whole 'outer dimensional beings' thing is more simplified. The loosing family and orphanage part will still be intact for the most part as it is vital of his story and he does eventually return to his former home and comes to terms with it all. I don't want him to be a sad character, but rather a sad past leading to a brighter future. He's sort of an Avatar of Hope, helping so many, but unable to help himself, which is where this whole friendship aspect comes in. His fear is always becoming the very monsters he fights, a fact that Despair always takes advantage off. This fear becomes more apparent during two events involving alternate versions of himself (the Fragment of the Guardian is what stops any negative effects from alternate reality interaction from occurring). The first was meant as an introduction to these players, while the second had him leaving to involve himself in a war between the many alternate selves (See 'The Storm Wars' below). This enhances is fear of what he could become, as he discovers a number of 'monstrous' selves.

This eventually reaches full circle in the final battle with Corrupticus' Dark Master, whom after taking over and reshaping Corrupticus' body, floods Storm Spear with negative energy in order to give Despair the power to destroy Hope. All the events leading to this moment help give Storm Spear the strength for this one moment to not give in, awaken the Fragment of Hope (which grants him a form with Golden Armour with wings) and use that brief moment to strike a blow that cuts off the control the Dark Master had on Corrupticus, with that power banishing the Dark Master from their world. Cheesy? Yes, but still well within the type of stories this show has.

Out of all the characters on the show, I feel Princess Luna would probably get him to open up the most, with Storm Spear accepting her as a good friend. My guess is that at first they would clash (he's a social outcast who's wild and does not think much of royalty while Luna is a princess who would probably not take to kindly to his attatude), but after a confrontation or two and a few conversations, I believe Luna would end up talking about the dark parts in her life (she was Nightmare Moon after all) which would lead to Storm Spear opening up about his own. Given that he likes to hunt the evils of the night and other monsters, it wouldn't be too surprising for Luna to go along on a couple of these adventures. I recon he'd probably eventually get along with other secondary and background characters, though main character interaction will be limited only to when his main story line gets involved.

Sparky: Storm Spear's loyal companion
The only way I can describe him is that he's a fuzzy ball of light that sparks occasionally and changes colour depending on his mood.

Who is Sparky?
Sparky watched over his Master as his fever began to die down. The antidote had started to work, but it would not be for a few hours more before the Master would be capable of defending himself. Sparky looked around, the forest was pitch dark this night and the only source of light keeping the night fiends back was his own. Still, he would not stop for he would do anything to protect his Master. Now if only the Master would listen to his advice next time, they might avoid this situation again.

Sparky has simply been described as a Fuzzy Glowing Mood Sprite. He looks like a glowing orb with a sort of magic trail that follows him, has no physical form and can see all around him (a full 360 around him). His base colour shifts between yellow, light blue and purple (darker light in bright locations so others can see him and brighter light in darker locations so others can see around them). He does glow dark blue in sad situations and dark red in angry situations (thus 'Mood' Sprite).

Occasionally he does spark electrical sparks and is capable of electrical shocking his Master to try and use Storm Spears lightning vitality in order to keep him alive (something he's done a few times over the years). He can move and hold things like a Unicorn through magic, though the occasional electrical effect does move over the object (though this is just an effect and is harmless) and he can send and receive things via an electrical teleportation. He cannot be harmed, but cannot harm in return (there's always a price to pay), though he does have access to some protection and illusion spells. Being a light source, he does have the ability to increase or decrease how much light he produces and can always create a blinding flash in order to temporarily blind enemies to help his Master out (the one exception to the harm rule).

Sparky was created to serve Storm Spear, though Storm Spear treats him more as a companion and friend then an actual servant. His voice is best described as a sort of classic style butler, though in a sort of higher pitch and extremely happy (still working on his voice). He has his own personality, is very intelligent and always doing whatever is in his masters best interest (even if Storm Spear doesn't see it that way). Sparky has been a teacher and mentor at times, teaching Storm Spear things like reading, writing and maths when he was younger, while Storm Spear taught him enough to form a personality. Recently Sparky has taken up to writing all the information about the creatures they've encountered into books so others might be able to use that info if such creatures are encountered again. He is a Sprite and hates being called anything else (like pixie, fairy, firefly .etc) and acts insulted when he is refereed to as such things. Over time he has learn to grow his personality and has learned things such as humour and sarcasm, which he isn't afraid to use on his Master. He will even tell off his Master if Storm Spear goes too far. Most times however, he is generally happy.

He is introduced along side his Master, but tends to remain in the background or even be gone for long periods of the time. By this point Sparky want's to train his Master to try and live a life without his aid and to form friendships that can replace much of what he covered for in the past.

Beyond Equestria: Sparky follows his master anywhere, even into the great beyond. Honestly, he has as much time interacting with his Master here as he does at home, as in, only when it suits the story. When Sparky isn't in a story on their home world, then he is here doing research or simply doing other stuff.

Designer Notes: Sparky was designed to be a guide for Storm Spear, acting as a teacher and friend. As time goes on I wanted him to still play an important role in Storm Spears life, but also for Sparky to only be around enough that Storm Spear is still able to be in stories without Sparky following him at all times. I want it to reach a point that Sparky is still around, but rarely shows up in stories, except when a story benefits from his interaction. The ball of electrical light idea just seemed to fit, a kind of mystical and fantasy theme, yet a light to help keep the creatures of darkness at bay. He's also there to point out the flaws of his Master and as part of their poor comedy duo.

Lord Corrupticus Fellwing: The Uncertain Villain
Unarmoured and armoured. Image prior to his season one defeat. Season two has the emerald like gem permanently lodged in his chest with glowing green veins emerging from it.

Who is Lord Corrupticus Fellwing?
Corrupticus overlooked his kingdom from atop his castle fortress. As glorious as it was, he knew what was missing. With a heavy sigh, he turned around and returned to his throne room. The room itself was empty, for his kingdom had no subjects save the minions he summoned to this world. His eyes turned to the thrones, one was his but the other was always empty. A throne for a queen he did not have. A though occurred, that perhaps today he would go out and seek his queen.
"Perhaps I could...."
Corrupticus' mind began to be clouded by darkness again, his dark Master's will placing his own evil thoughts into Corrupticus' mind. Such dark thoughts, of evil mischief and madness, denying Corrupticus of his own desires. With another long sigh and a sense of defeat, Corrupticus began walking to his war room to plan another attempt to torment the ponies of Equestria.

Created from the raw energy simply known as 'The Corruption' from beyond the pony universe by an evil entity, Corrupticus is a sinister yet somewhat questionable creature, as his actions sometimes reflect what he wants rather than his Master wishes. As he was created and not born, he has no cutie mark, but usually sports a sort of dark crimson armour called the Darkclaw Armour (Dark Iron that was soaked in dragons blood while dark enchantments were cast on it). The crystal on his armour is a powerful corruption stone and when the armour was destroyed in the final battle of series one, the stone was fused into his chest. As such the armour in series two looks the same, but actually the chest piece was altered to let the stone fit in. His colour is more stone-like then grey, mane and tail are black/dark green with corruption green streaks and his eyes and wings burn with emerald/jade fire, the colour of corruption. He can also breath fell fire, ether as a fireball, fire breath or as a fire portal that summons Fell Fiends (a sort of ape cross imp creature) to torment his foes.

His personality is more of a calm Noble, often sipping grape juice in wine glasses and giving general villain speeches. He gets his villain ideas and stances from his Guide to Villainy by D.D (a Dick Dastardly reference), which contains various classic cartoon villain cliches (such as evil laughter, mustache twirling etc). This can make him look like he's more acting his part at times, which becomes more obvious when he has to consult the book.

Despite being a villain, he isn't so much evil as self focused. Corrupted only care for themselves and what they consider to be theirs (so they can care for family and friends, but only their family and friends). He isn't cruel or sadistic, he just wants a bit of fun (his Master doesn't, that's how one tells when he was being controlled). Even though his plans are constantly thwarted, he tends to respect his opponents too. He rules are twisted castle made of black obsidian and emerald/jade crystal, it (and what he calls his 'kingdom', mostly consisting of plant-life which has been 'corrupted') is hidden within an unknown island location (it never stays in the same location for long). In truth, all he wants are subjects to rule and a queen by his side, yet his Dark Master (the power behind his creation) wants total control of everything and so Corrupticus continues his Masters evil plans, refusing to let any pony know of that which truly controls him. At least until the final confrontation, which changes things for him.

The final confrontation sees him beaten by Storm Spear via series one end, and despite being possessed by his Dark Master for that final battle, his connection is cut and he is imprisoned by Storm Spears Benefactor. In season two he breaks out and returns to reclaim his kingdom from his former Masters attempt to use another corrupted to take it and he returns as a villain, though this time he plays for fun and is more in it to annoy rather then conquer. His goal by this point is to achieve his Kingdom dream and to get back at his former Master for being controlled and so sees Storm Spear as an ally in that regards. The two form a type of rivalry as they try to out do each other in the collection of magical artifacts. Corrupticus has no use for them (he sees his power as being beyond anything they could provide), but thinks they look good in his personal museum. He's also out to have fun, preferring to use classic villainous plans to leave his victims embarrassed as oppose to the usual (and in his opinion, boring) act of destroying them, and sometimes comes off comedic at times as he try's to master the art of Villainy from his Villainy guidebook or by comments from those around him. He's a villain out to live life, not waste it trying to obtain something he can't get and doesn't want. That said, don't cross him or threaten what's his, cause being a Villain also means he can have a nasty streak at times.

Beyond Equestria: While nothing of note happens in season one, season two does bring Lord Corrupticus into the great dimensional 'War of Corruption', a war that involves his former Dark Masters Corrupted against the 'free' Corrupted. With Lord Corrupticus fighting against his former Master in season two, he has a much larger roll beyond his world.

Designer Notes: Corrupticus was formed during another story event in my other characters stories. The War of Corruption was a big event, but after the failure of the Soul Corrupted, it was heavily hinted that work was on creating an army of warriors through the power of the Corruption. Corrupticus was created as the first (Which is why he always refers to himself as 'first and greatest of his kind'). He started off as the usual world domination type villain, but I soon decided that his normal villainous actions were more for his own amusement and the whole 'world domination' was his dominating Puppet Masters plans. This meant that when the Puppet Master was no longer in control, Corrupticus was free to do anything I wanted in a story. He's not truly evil, just more of a comedic villain who's fun comes at the expense of his victim's dignity.

Personally, I vision him as the sort of villain that just want's to have a little fun now and then, mostly at the expense and embarrassment of others. He's the kind of villain who try's hard to follow a few villain tropes such as giving monologues and speeches, sitting on his throne sipping wine (or rather grape juice, which he prefers the taste too plus it has the benefit of looking like wine) and constantly trying to practice being a better villain (such as jokes involving him taking notes when others point out how he's doing it wrong). He takes his plans and combat seriously, but he prefers to play it 'cool' and acts like everything is under control.

Fell Fiends
Fell Fiends are the minions of Lord Corrupticus (I use the term Fiend over Demon given that the show is kid friendly and not some dark adult show). The Fell Fiends are of various shapes and sizes, looking like a cross between an imp and an ape. Many have some sort of Fell Fire burning on them. They are generally weak and tend to stick to numbers for fights (they aren't very good fighters). Once one is defeated, they return to the Fell Flame that summoned them and can return once more. They are part child like, part mischievous little terror. They love to play pranks and taunt opponents. They also love to pick on each other and fights have broken out amongst them purely because they just want something to do (this is why Corrupticus constantly replaces so many pianos and chandeliers). They are loyal only to Corrupticus, though not each other, which is why fighting occurs all the time. They are the child-like, comedic minions for a mainly serious character (just as any true villain should , at least according to the book 'Rules for being a great Villain' that Lord Corrupticus owns). In season 2, many are remade into various roles with new forms. The Guard variants are designed to be a mockery of the Royal Guard, tending to be more emotionless for the most part. Unlike the minions, the Guard variants can speak normally, they just choose not to. Only the Captain of the Guard is every really given lines and usually those lines are conversations between himself and Corrupticus.

Other Characters

The Treasure Hunters of Diamond Peaks
Consisting of members of a refugee city located in the far north, this group set forth to seek riches to help their united groups. Lead by an Earth pony named Top Drop and his sister Sweet Drop, it also consisted of a Mountain Trollkin named Rock Crusher, a tech savvy Molekin named Geargrinder and the great white elder dragon named Snowflake (long story). They would be later joined by two others (a filly Pegasus called Fey Hoof and another mysterious creature who was a mystic/shaman type) before being hired by Star Siphon. While Snowflake and his descendants rule the Diamond Peaks, they have taken to protect the refugees of various races. Storm Spear was a part of this group at one point and even saved the refugee city from destruction by the evil Ice Trollkin, earning him the name Storm Lord and being worshiped by the refugees as a legendary hero (much to his annoyance). Of all the groups members, Top Drop travels the most and occasionally drags Storm Spear on a quest to find rare recipes for various drinks (he wants to be the worlds greatest brew-master)

Note: Still working on the mystic/shamans race and name.

 Star Siphon / Soul Siphon
A rich noble unicorn who was a collector and had a keen interest in relics of The Forgotten (It started off as a forgotten civilization, though recently I have been thinking of changing it to something like 'the forgotten Unicorn wars', in which greedy Unicorns kept magic spells and items for themselves and battled each other to take them. Could be a good origin story for Necromancy too). He founded a treasure hunting group (of which at one point Storm Spear was apart of) and appeared to be genuine about the whole thing. However, he had manipulated the heart of Fey Hoof and used magic to make her loyal. When he finally found what he wanted, he betrayed them, killing the mysterious creature and eventually turning on his (now former) Pegasus lover. Storm Spear tracked him down to a hidden lab where he found Fey frozen in ice. Using the artifact, Star Siphon opened a portal to another dimension, siphoning it's power into himself. Storm Spear used his own powers to overload the devices, infusing too much energy into Star and causing his body to transform. He was then banished through the portal as the place collapsed. Fey Hoof was handed over to the authorities as an accomplice, but would later be free when it was proven she was mind controlled and would eventually rejoin the Treasure Hunters a few years later, all of whom had forgiven her (though Storm Spear took a little longer).

Remade, he became Soul Siphon and had gained the ability to siphon the power from others into himself and thus, making himself stronger. He would return again and again, each time being defeated by Storm Spear and co, ending up banished for his efforts.

The Necromancer
Another example of a rich noble unicorn who finds a lost artifact (book) and begins practicing it's dark secrets. Storm Spear and Sparky came across his mansion after ponies from a near by village asked for help in solving the mysterious pony disappearances. What horrors they found hidden beneath the mansion they won't say, but what resulted was the destruction of the necromancers home and research. Now weakened thanks to his losses, his once proud and handsome looks ruined beyond repair, he would later return with a small group of Shades (physical manifestation of the souls of evil ponies) ever obsessed with his quest for immortality.

The Storm Wars
Alternate realities will always contain an variant of ones self, possibly good or possibly bad. The problem arises when the bad ones start to get together to cause trouble. What started as a simple quest for self discovery, Storm Spear would later regret as various versions of himself started trouble across various realities, hinted heavily that this was kicked off by the dark Puppet Master in revenge for Storm Spear freeing Corrupticus from his control. It's a short war, but during it Storm Spear encounters many strange versions of himself, both good and bad, which would lead to him questioning just who he really is. The 'Bogan' Storm Spear (a popular variant) originated here and would be one of the few variants to show up later on.

Storm Against Corruption by AzdensWarehouse

As a fan of Warhammer 40K, it was only a matter of time before I would get something like this done. The crossing of 40K and MLP is popular and I defiantly felt that both Storm Spear and Lord Corrupticus could easily fit in that version. Corrupticus is most likely a Greater Daemon and given Storm Spear is an Inquisitor, I would place this worlds Sparky as a Servo Skull.

Storm Spear the Bogan by SupaCrikeyDave

Well, his mane does look like a mullet. This idea for this is quite simple given I'm Australian. I figure this would also be a version Storm Spear would encounter during the Storm Wars (as one of the good guys). If you not sure what a Bogan is, it's a loutish individual, who's classic stereotype was a guy who had a mullet haircut, wore a flannelette shirt or a shearers singlet, drinks, smokes, swears (though this character doesn't) and is somewhat a slob. The pic idea was inspired from the music video for 'Nobody Likes A Bogan' by Area 7. He would later pick up his act after the Storm War and gives the original Storm Spear a couple of shirts like his and telling him to relax and lighten up more.

Lord Corrupticus Reigns by SupaCrikeyDave

Storm Spear - Blood Infected by SupaCrikeyDave

Blood Infected is based from storylines beyond Equestria. As with the character Zargooran, many references to the alien race called Bloodclaws are mentioned. A renegade creature from them known as the Alpha Strain is responsible for creating a deadly virus called 'Blood Infection'. It's hidden in the liquid coating on the aliens claws and infects their victims through scratches. Once infected, it causes rapid mutation and those that survive are usually controlled by the Alpha Strain. It didn't affect Storm Spear the same way because of the Fragment. Was still a terrible experience for him still.

I have worked on a more advanced mutated version of this guy as one of the alternate versions Storm Spear runs into during The Storm Wars. A fully infected creature who in turn, infects others with the goal of forming his own brood.
